Your first visit
A placement visit is a short time in the water with an instructor, so we can suggest the right level before you join a class.
- 01
Step 1: Book a placement visit
Choose a time on our enrollment page, or call the front desk. Tell us what you would like from the classes, or tell us you are not sure.
- 02
Step 2: A short time in the water
You get in by the steps with an instructor beside you. The visit takes about twenty minutes, and you can get out at any time.
- 03
Step 3: Hear the level
The instructor suggests a level, tells you what they saw, and shows you the classes with room on the schedule.
- 04
Step 4: Register for a class
Register at the front desk or from home on our enrollment page. Your swimmer file and your first payment hold the place.
- 05
Step 5: The first class
Arrive ten minutes early, rinse in the shower and sit on the bench until the instructor calls your level.
In the water
What the instructor looks at
There are no right answers at a placement visit. The instructor notices how you get in, how you move along the rail, how you feel with water on your face, and picks the level where your first class will fit.
How you enter the water
Walking along the rail
Breathing out with your chin at the water
How you feel letting go of the rail
